For candidates

What you studied is not the point.

We place people into companies that are growing, where you are promoted for what you do rather than what you can prove on paper. If you have been passed over because your background did not look like the standard one, this is built for you.

What we look for

Four things, none of
which are on a resume.

  • You can take instructionNot because you lack ideas, but because you understand that you have to learn the work before you can improve it. This is the single strongest predictor we have found.
  • You finish thingsAnyone can start well. We are looking for the person who is still there when the work has stopped being new and nobody is watching.
  • You have something to provePeople who were not handed an easy route tend to work like it. That is an advantage here, not a gap to apologise for in an interview.
  • You lift the people near youThe careers that go furthest belong to people who make everyone around them better. It shows up early, and we look for it early.
Stage one · Shu

You learn
the work

You do the job exactly as it is already done, until it is second nature. It is the least glamorous stage and the one that decides everything after it. Most people skip it and spend years paying for that.

Dip 01 — first depth
Stage two · Ha

You
improve it

Once the work is instinct you start seeing what could be better, and you have earned the standing to change it. This is usually where the money and the responsibility begin to move.

Dip 02 — second depth
Stage three · Ri

You
lead it

You no longer need the process, because you have absorbed it and can teach it. At this point your career stops depending on any single employer, which is the real security.

Dip 03 — third depth
What happens next

After you apply.

Four steps, in this order, with nothing inserted between them.

  • Your application reaches the employerIt goes to the company hiring for the role, usually the same day. Note that the advertisement may carry our name while the company you meet is theirs. That is normal, and it is worth knowing in advance rather than being surprised by it.
  • A first conversationUsually a short call about the role and whether it is genuinely what you are after. Ask hard questions here. Pay, hours, and what the day actually looks like. Anyone worth working for will answer all three without hedging.
  • You meet the companyIn person or on a video call. You should know the company's name, the address and who you are meeting before you go. If you do not have all three, ask for them, and do not attend until you do.
  • A decisionIf it is a no, it is not a verdict on you. Plenty of good people are turned down for a role that simply was not the right shape, and the next one often is.
Our promises

Things you can
hold us to.

  • You will never pay to be placedNot a placement fee, not a deposit, not a charge for uniforms, checks or materials. Ever, at any stage. The one thing we sell candidates is the optional Talent Pool at a dollar a month, and no role we advertise ever requires it. If anyone asks you for money in connection with a role we advertised, stop, and tell us.
  • The advertisement describes the actual jobIf it names a pay range, that is the real range. If something you are told in an interview does not match what you read, we want to hear about it, because we wrote the advertisement.
  • Your application goes to the employerIt goes to the company hiring for the role you applied to, and it is not sold on to a list of third parties.
  • Ask us and you get a straight answerWe cannot control how fast every employer comes back to you. We can tell you who they are, what the role is and where your application went, so email us rather than sitting there guessing.
If something feels off

Tell us. We'd
rather know.

Recruitment advertising attracts imitators, and there are people in this industry who will describe one job and interview you for another. We cannot control what every company posts. We can control what we post, and we can act on what you tell us.

So if an interview did not match the advertisement, if you were asked for money, or if something simply did not sit right, email us directly.
